Dont Miss Big Brother Africa (BBA), This sunday

Twitter has been abuzz with viewers calling on their friends and fellow fans to vote or either Beverly, Melvin, Elikem, Cleo or Dillish. The five have survived 87 days in the House and now need every vote possible to get their hands on the much sought after $300 000 cash prize.

Big Brother Africa-Africa Forum facebook reported thatb our continental musical heavyweights will light up the Big Brother: The Chasestage this Sunday during the stunning 2-hour live finale, as Africa’s votes decide who out of Beverley, Melvin, Elikem, Cleo and Dillish will take home the USD300 000 prize after 91 days of epic action. Ice Prince, DJ Ganyane, Keko and R2bees are household names across the continent, and will add the perfect musical accompaniment to what promises to be a dramatic evening.

Ice Prince has been performing and rapping since he was in secondary school. Since then, the Nigerian superstar has charted and performed around the world, collaborating with some of the continent’s hottest artists and selling out shows wherever he goes.

At the 2013 Ghana Music Awards, the group took home wins in 6 of the 9 categories in which they were nominated, including Song of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Poetry "Who Am I" by: Bobontle Mopeloa

Ask me who M I and
I will pop, my eyes and
Stutle like, I've been
Pointed with a Gun,
Right at my back Bone
And my Gut will be telling
Me that God, is Watching
Over the beset me.

Between and beside,
Those, who know me, I will
Never be able to define
The inside executed,
Cold-blooded, code of
What I really consist of.
I take words from others, intergrade
Them to form a revelation
Of what is me, that is not real.

I Coast upon my faith,and
Delight over others mistakes,
Ia|m not innocent , M just
Surrounded by mercy,
That keeps striving me
To trail me to the right track,
Though I feel like sometime
Life has grudges over me
And I've never hurt the
Universe or cursed God
But I find it difficult to
Believe that I am also
Loved like the children. Of
Israel.

I've never had the audacity
To define who M I, I cannot,
Point out,, many successful,
Stories, I've encountered, since
I saw myself in the mirror,
I've always found myself, ashamed
Of what I uncover beneath the towel.

Who M I, its just a question
I cannot take upon, myself,
I'd rather sit-dead in my
Room and have the walls, closing
Up on me, painting themselves blue than speaking senseless Words
To fill my void.

I've always fall short, of decorated, words,
I can explain myself, my flaws, always
Flare, when I am around a spirit, and I
M afraid that fame will destroy me. And take
Me back to the mud-house that
I was born at..iam not fortunate
To lay my hands in the fire and
Resist the pain.

Who M I, ke santse ke le ka. Go
Fumana karabo, maybe I might find
Myself inbetween my granfathers
Tales. He used to share
When we gather around
The fire. I cannot,
Change the world, because I don't
Know, much about it. But if
You hold, my hand and walk with me
Step, by step, I will be able to rediscover and
Define the inside me. I will be able to
Tell a word, without, shining, and laughing
My shame aways, struggling, to maintain, the infuse Peace within my pain.

I cannot say who m I, M still
Fixing the blister, and building,
My confidence, so when I see the
Ocean, I will not be intimidated, by how far it, flows and float on the ground, I've not
Yet reached the point, where I can say this
Is the finishing line, but everyday becomes
A race that sometimes result in pain.

I choose to be distant from
The questions, that makes me Isolated,
When intergtated, the stars and kings
Can shine hard, that even my light can not
Be able to stand in the bright. There is a
Leak, between my faith and words, so
I laze unto my silence that takes me
To a place, that I will work for 6 days and
Rest in the 7day and lift up my strength.
Then asked who M I , I'll tell them, I am Gods best Made. I am who God says I am. This is who I am.

UJ student Goes Missing

A UNIVERSITY of Johannesburg student has disappeared after spending a weekend at a friend’s house.

Palesa Madiba, of Diepkloof in Soweto, was last seen by her friend Tshidi Mkhwanazi on Monday after the long weekend.
Mkhwanazi (22) said Madiba (21), a final-year BCom business management student at the Soweto campus, had spent the long weekend at her home at Phiri, Soweto, and left for classes on Monday morning. Mkhwanazi lives with her grandmother Thandi and uncle Dumisani.
She said Madiba came to her home that weekend because the Mkhwanazis were celebrating a birthday for two relatives.
“Usually when Palesa comes to sleep over at my house, I leave her behind because I have to get to work early. I would then call her later in the day to check up on her,” said Mkhwanazi.
When she tried to call her friend on Monday, her phone was off.
She was not too worried about that, because she thought Madiba was getting ready for classes.
“I kept trying to call Palesa the entire day, but her phone remained off. I contacted her sister, Tebogo, the following day to ask whether she knew where Palesa was. She told me she didn’t know.”
Sunday World visited Madiba’s home, where she lives with her aunt Tebogo and her cousins Thabiso and Kgothatso Tsoledi.
The family say they have been having sleepless nights since she disappeared.
Thabiso said the last they saw Madiba was on the morning of Women’s Day after they went out for breakfast together.
Madiba told them she meant to go to her parents’ house in Protea Glen to see her elder sister Tebogo.
“We got worried when she didn’t come home on Monday as we expected her to,” said Thabiso.
The family opened a missing persons case at Diepkloof police station. The case was transferred to Moroka police station.
Police spokesman Mpande Khoza said they were investigating.
“The investigation is proceeding well. Many people have been interviewed, including (people at) the address where she was last seen, at Phiri in Soweto.”
Madiba’s boyfriend, Khanyisizwe Nkosi, said he had no words to describe how he felt about her disappearance. “It’s surreal,” he said.
Nkosi said the last time he heard from Madiba was when she sent him a text wishing him good luck for his test on Monday morning.
“After I got out of my test I sent her several messages and she didn’t respond.
“I sent Tshidi a BBM message, but it looks like she only saw my messages the following day because that’s when she replied.”
Nkosi said he went to the protection services on campus on Wednesday to check on the last time Madiba’s student card had been swiped.
“The records showed her student card was last swiped the previous Thursday, and that’s when she was going home,” he said.

Big Brother Africa Top 5 Housemates

Africa stand up and salute your Top 5. After 25 bade the Show goodbye, Beverly, Cleo, Dillish, Elikem and Melvin are the final 5 and it has been quite a journey for them.

We look at a few facts about their long journey in The Chase:

Beverly:

Originally a Ruby, Beverly is probably the luckiest of the pack having gone through the entire Season without facing the dreaded Eviction dagger. It's safe to say that the Nigerian lass literally walked her way to the Finale. On love, she had a bad experience very early in the game when Uganda's LK4 tried two-timing her with South Africa's Koketso. Seeing the Ugandan choose Koketso over her must have been a huge blow but she soldiered on, thanks to being Swapped to the Diamond House. No one wanted to believe that Betty's Bolt had his eyes fixed on Beverly but that was her story and she stuck to it. It was only after Bolt moved to the Ruby House that he started confessing to a few transgressions. Beverly won HoH twice during the Season.

Cleo:

Hakeem's sweetheart or Mrs Mandaza as she became fondly known on the Big Brother Africa Twitter streets, Cleo surprised many when she pulled herself together and continued with The Chase even after her beau was booted out. Having survived four Evictions, the Zambian emcee has proved to be quite a strong contender in the game. Though this original Ruby couldn't quite crack winning Head of House, she really pulled her weight and

Dillish:

The last confirmed Finalist, Diamond Dillish must still be pinching herself after surviving the last Eviction that saw South Africa's Angelo and Ethiopian Bimp bite the dust. The princess, as Pebbles calls her, is another one that became a regular under the guillotine but Africa would not hear any of it and she was Saved on all occasions. Though she managed to go through the entire Season without falling for any of the guys, Dillish occasionally spoke about yearning for some good loving. Sadly, the Namibian princess failed dismally to make Head of House.

Elikem:

'That nigga Elikem', as his beau the gorgeous Pokello refers to him, became the first confirmed Finalist of The Chase. The Ghanaian Chasemate fought quite a few battles to make it to the finish line in one piece. Having been the target of serious frenemy squabbles, it took Elikem a while to wake up and smell the coffee. The Taylor was quite popular with the ladies before settling with Zimbabwe's Pokello and the ladies had to take a chill pill. A man of firsts, Elikem is also the only Chasemate to have had the nerve to Nominate his love-interest when he put up Pokello. He is also the first Ghanaian to make it to the Finale. This original Diamond became Head of House three times and survived five Evictions; twice by Africa and three times by the respective HoH.

Melvin:

The only Chasemate to have tested fate and put his own head on the chopping block during his tenure as Head of House, a move that will go down as one of the boldest of the Season. Perhaps that's the reason why his fellow Housemates could not Nominate him ever again, they were still picking up their jaws from the floor. The Nigerian hottie almost wears a permanent smile and never bothers anyone. That's why it was quite a spectacle when Dillish rubbed him the wrong way this week, making him very angry. Though he only faced Eviction once, by his own doing anyway, Melvin won Head of House three times during his days as a Diamond. This actually made it hard to recall that Melvin is actually an original Ruby.

Though everyone is now a Ruby, fact remains that we have three original Rubies and two original Diamonds in the Top 5. Ghana, Namibia, Nigeria and Zambia are represented in the Finale.

How happy are you about the Top 5 Africa?
